Peta Ellis is a Communications Professional with 17+ years’ experience in Marketing Communications, Media Relations, Publicity, Digital and Public Profile Management. Since 2012 Peta has worked alongside Steve Baxter, the founder of River City Labs to grow Brisbane’s Startup community and establish RCL as Brisbane’s most connected community of Founders, Tech Startups, Entrepreneurs and industry Mentors. www.rivercitylabs.net. Under her leadership more than 460 entrepreneurs have called RCL home and the organization has welcomed more than 16,000 guests into the community by hosting over 500 events aimed at supporting founders on their entrepreneurship journey. Peta is passionate about ensuring River City Labs is a human-led organisation ensuring founders always come first and every engagement is underpinned by the core values of Give Learn Grow, Take Action and Always Challenge. Other projects include founding the SEP Corporate Innovation Program, Lean Startup Experience and most recently launching the Young Entrepreneurs Network (YEN) a community focused on connecting young entrepreneurs with Industry, Schools, Course Providers and Program Facilitators in the Youth Entrepreneurship space.
