We know Australian electronic music is in a very good place right now. There are dozens of bright young producers making excellent music in their home studios and often getting reasonable traction through radio and streaming playlists on an international level.
But at what point do these projects need to make the jump to the live stage, and how do they do it? What makes for a great electronic performance? What does an emerging electronic act need for their early shows, and what should they be aiming to attain as they evolve as a touring performing artist? What does it take to get a fan of electronic music out of the living room or the nightclub and into a live show?
