Jillian Mapes is a New York-based senior editor at Pitchfork, where she runs The Pitch (the website's section for short-form features and commentary), in addition to writing reviews and long-form. Previously she edited on staff at Vulture/New York Magazine, Billboard, Flavorwire, and CBS. Her byline has also appeared in GQ, Rolling Stone, The Onion, The Hollywood Reporter, SPIN, and more. She began her career as a features reporter for the Indianapolis Star, and she grew up in small-town Ohio.
