Kenny Gates is the CEO of [PIAS]. Founded in 1982 with business partner Michel Lambot, [PIAS] today has over 300 employees and offices in every major music market. In January 2017, [PIAS] acquired leading Australian distributor and label services business, Inertia Music.

Over the past 35 years, [PIAS] has remained proudly independent with a flourishing label culture at its heart comprised of imprints; Play It Again Sam, Different, Harmonia Mundi and [PIAS] Recordings. [PIAS] partners with labels including; Bella Union, Heavenly, Transgressive and Mute, and distributes Beggars Group (4AD, Rough Trade, Matador, XL), Ninja Tune, Infectious, Warp, Domino and Secretly Canadian among many others.
