Melissa Woods began her career in music working for Telarc, International. In 2005, she went on to work at Concord Music Group in the licensing department with artists: Paul McCartney, James Taylor, Isaac Hayes, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Paul Simon and Sia.

In 2013, Woods became the Director of Artist & Manager Relations at ZYNC Music Group. There, she signed BANKS, Lizzo and Marian Hill.

In 2017, Woods become Head of Creative Services at Third Side Music, an independent publishing in Los Angeles and Montreal, representing: Run The Jewels, Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Flying Lotus, Wolf Parade, Amon Tobin, BADBADNOTGOOD and more.
