Elspeth Scrine is an artist, PhD Candidate and LISTEN coordinator. Elspeth fronts electronic three-piece Huntly who make "doof you can cry to", and she is passionate about using music to cultivate emotional vulnerability and inclusivity. A music therapist by day, Elspeth is completing a PhD project that investigates music as a space to explore gender and violence with young people in high school. Elspeth is an advocate for grassroots change-making, and is an organiser/activist with feminist music collective LISTEN, and Melbourne's Cool Room club night.
