Namila Benson is a broadcaster and educator who engages in robust and well-informed narratives to help decolonise past, present and future stories. With more than 20 years experience in radio, television and digital media, Benson continues to spark vital conversations that explore race, culture and identity politics across various creative platforms – especially music.

These days, she runs media and podcast training workshops across Narrm/Melbourne and overseas, often mentoring young people from diverse backgrounds in the early stages of their broadcasting journey. On the odd occasion, Benson dusts of her soul, hip hop and global collection to jump on the wheels of steel as DJ Sista Selekta.
