Stephen Phillips is the CEO of Mawson Ventures, an Australian tech firm investing in AI, materials and renewable energy. Stephen is a software engineer with decades of entrepreneurial experience. He was leader of the popular music website WeAreHunted.com he sold to Twitter in 2012. Stephen worked at Twitter in San Francisco for three years before returning to Australia in 2016.

His new music company Popgun is teaching an AI how to play musical instruments. Popgun recently graduated from the first Techstars Music program in Los Angeles.
